Read the poem carefully and answer the questions that follow:

Boats sail on the rivers,
And ships sail on the seas;
But clouds that sail across the sky
Are prettier than these.
There are bridges on the rivers,
As pretty as you please;
But the bow that bridges heaven,
And over tops the trees,
And builds a road from earth to sky,
Is prettier far than these.

ACTIVITY 1

Tick the correct alternatives :

Write ‘T’ for true and ‘F’ for false statements in the given boxes :

(a) The rainbow is compared to an arrow.

ACTIVITY 3

Give the adjective forms of the following words :

ACTIVITY 4

Suppose one day you went with your brother to a countryside where you suddenly saw a rainbow after a little shower of rain. Write in your own words how you enjoyed the moment in five complete sentences. Also draw a picture of the rainbow and the landscape that you experienced.

Ans:

1. That was my first time experience in a countryside.

2. Suddenly we saw a little shower of rain.

3. The nature got refresh after the rain and  we saw a beautiful rainbow.

4. The birds were chirping and farmers were coming back to their home.

5. My brother told me that that was the beauty of nature.
